Licensed Government Guide
Officially licensed, insured and fully professional.
Licensed Balinese guide, Mandarin translator, and your friend on the island — here is my story.
My Story
My name is Komang Ari Ani — but everyone simply calls me Ani. I was born and raised here in Bali, in a traditional Balinese family. From the time I could walk I was part of it all: the temple ceremonies, the offerings made each morning, the gamelan echoing through the village, the whole community coming together for every celebration.
Growing up this way, Bali's culture never felt like something to study — it was simply life. That is the Bali I love to share: not only the famous viewpoints, but the meaning behind them.
Before becoming a professional guide, I spent six years living and working in Nanjing, China, as a trainer for traditional therapists. Those years changed me. I learned Mandarin until it felt natural, and — just as importantly — I came to understand how Chinese and Taiwanese guests think, travel, eat and rest. I learned what makes someone feel truly looked after, far from home.
I returned to Bali more than ten years ago and became a licensed government tour guide and Mandarin translator. Since then I have welcomed guests from Taiwan, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Mandarin-speaking travellers from all over the world — couples, families, solo travellers, and friends who came as strangers and left as family.
I don't simply guide visitors. I introduce the soul of Bali.

My Journey
Raised inside the ceremonies, temples and village life that still shape every tour I create today.
Living and working abroad, I became fluent in Mandarin and learned Chinese and Taiwanese culture from the inside.
I earned my official government guide licence and began sharing my island with Mandarin-speaking travellers.
Private, unhurried journeys designed one guest at a time — with stories, translation and photos along the way.
