Overview
An afternoon and evening that ends perfectly. Uluwatu temple sits on a cliff seventy metres above the Indian Ocean, and as the sun drops the Kecak dancers begin — no instruments, just a hundred voices chanting in the dark. Afterwards we drive down to Jimbaran for grilled seafood with your feet almost in the sand.
An easy afternoon start — no early alarm today.
A short beach stop before the temple, depending on the tide.
Clifftop paths, crashing surf below and cheeky monkeys — hold onto your sunglasses.
The Ramayana told by a hundred chanting voices as the sun sets behind the stage.
Grilled seafood at a beachfront table, toes near the sand.
A gentle drive back after dinner.
