Overview
Besakih is the mother of all Balinese temples — a complex of more than twenty temples climbing the slopes of Mount Agung, and the most sacred place on our island. As a Balinese Hindu I can explain what each level means and how our ceremonies work here, which makes the visit far richer than simply walking through. Afterwards we cool off at a waterfall on the way home.
