Overview
East Bali is quieter, older and, to me, the most beautiful side of the island. We start early at Lempuyang so you can photograph the famous split gate with Mount Agung behind it, then spend the rest of the day among the fountains and stepping stones of two royal water palaces. I will handle the queue system at the gate and take your photos — that part always goes better with a local.
Early start to reach the Gate of Heaven before the queue builds.
The famous split gate framing Mount Agung. I register your ticket and take your photos.
Walk the stepping stones across the koi ponds of this former royal garden.
A relaxed lunch with rice-field or ocean views.
Serene bridges, pools and sea views — usually almost empty.
Back to your hotel as the light goes golden.
